Mr. Tetelman has been a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars since 1986. He is a residential and commercial real estate practitioner with extensive experience in a variety of real estate related matters in New York City, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey and throughout the United States and abroad. Mr. Tetelman provides services in advisory and transactional capacities to a diverse group of domestic and international clients.

He is frequently called upon to assist clients in complex transactions, including the acquisition and sale of properties, mortgage financings, other asset based lending and commercial leasing. Mr. Tetelman frequently is a guest lecturer in the area of commercial leasing, residential/commercial real estate financing, and first time home buying.

Mr. Tetelman’s diverse client portfolio consists of an impressive list of clients which include lending institutions, landlords, investors, architects, construction companies, real estate brokers and developers. In addition, he regularly counsels clients in commercial leasing transactions having represented several major U.S. retailers, and has advised and represented apartment co-operatives and condominiums in New York City.

He has acted as special real estate counsel to several national lending institutions and charitable organizations, and is general real estate counsel to a New York City public housing company in lower Manhattan which owns and manages over 1,600 residential and commercial units. Mr. Tetelman has donated his time to New York City Neighborhood Housing Services by presenting home buying seminars.

Mr. Tetelman received his legal education from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany, where he received his B.A. degree. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association Real Property Section and the New York City Bar Association.

With over thirty years of combined legal, financial, tax and real estate development experience, Mr. Lustrin advises and counsels individual and corporate clients, both domestic and international, in the areas of: commercial and residential real estate transactions; real estate development and financing; complex corporate transactions focusing on optimal structuring; estate planning; leasing transactions; business entity formation; operating and shareholder agreements; income and estate tax planning relating to real estate transactional matters; and business succession planning.

Mr. Lustrin’s residential real estate practice involves representing domestic and foreign individuals in real estate purchase, sale, and leasing transactions. For his international clients, Mr. Lustrin provides complex structuring advice geared towards employing the optimal transaction structure for U.S. income and estate tax purposes.

Representing both landlords and tenants in commercial leasing matters, Mr. Lustrin represents clients in the retail industry, in the medical profession, in the oil and gas industry, and restauranteurs, amongst others.

With respect to real estate development and finance, Mr. Lustrin provides turn-key advice and solutions to real estate development clients, including assistance and counsel with respect to: the purchase of the development site; the structuring of the financing for the development; the negotiation of the relevant financing agreements (construction loans, equity based operating agreements, etc.); and the ultimate sale or leasing of the developed site.

Mr. Lustrin’s estate planning practice entails providing full service estate planning and tax advice including drafting wills, living wills, health care directives, durable powers of attorney, beneficiary designation forms, revocable trusts, and irrevocable trusts.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Lustrin was a managing director at a large boutique wealth management firm in New York City, a senior tax manager at Deloitte & Touche in New York City, and in-house counsel to a real estate lending company based in New Jersey. Mr. Lustrin formerly served on the Executive Board of Directors of the New York City Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Mr. Lustrin received his Masters of Law Degree (LLM) in Taxation from New York University School of Law, his J.D. degree from Hofstra University School of Law, where he served as Editor-In-Chief of the International Property Investment Journal, and his B.S. Degree, cum laude, in Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.

Lawrence received his legal education from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he received his J.D. degree in 2011. He also graduated cum laude from The George Washington University, where he received his B.A. degree in English with a minor in Political Science in 2008. Lawrence was a Notes Editor and member of the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution.

He has also interned in New York Supreme Court – Commercial Division with the Honorable Bernard J. Fried and in New York City Civil Court – Housing Part with the Honorable David B. Cohen. Lawrence is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
